Summary
El Turco, a Turkish LSP specializing in Turkish and Arabic, faced growing challenges with continuous delivery and small, frequent projects. Manual project handling consumed significant time, especially for repetitive tasks like saving metadata, fetching files, and assigning translators.
By implementing BeLazy’s Google Sheets integration via Make (formerly Integromat), El Turco automated project acceptance from multiple vendor portals and centralized data logging. This solution drastically reduced project management overhead, allowing PMs to focus on higher-value tasks.
Building on this success, El Turco plans to integrate BeLazy’s BMS API into its proprietary management system, continuing its path toward full automation.
Context & Challenge
Like other translation companies that focus on software and web projects, El Turco has seen an increasing trend in continuous delivery. Since the beginning of the last decade, projects have become smaller and deadlines more pressing.
To remain competitive, Cenk knew it was essential to automate basic tasks such as confirming projects, saving project metadata (word count, specialization, rates, cat-tools, deadlines, etc) records, fetching files and finding translators available for that specific job.
The automation need has been there for a long time, but El Turco, like most small and medium-sized translation companies that work for larger LSPs, had little development capacity. As Cenk put it “there are no standards for the APIs in the market. It was a difficult problem to solve and no one was brave enough to take on responsibility.”

Implemented Solutions
The project’s foundation lay in optimizing project tracking. El Turco had already experimented with Google Sheets as a lightweight alternative to their business management system (BMS), seeking to reduce the administrative effort required to log every project detail manually. After testing various automation approaches—from email parsing to bots and RPA—they found none sufficiently robust or flexible for their needs.
That changed with BeLazy’s native integration between Google Sheets and Make (formerly Integromat). Through this setup, El Turco could automatically accept projects from multiple vendor portals, synchronize data directly into their central sheet, and trigger automated email notifications to linguists who could accept or decline assignments based on real-time availability.
This workflow significantly enhanced the management of small, high-volume projects originating from vendor portals such as Symfonie (Moravia) and Plunet. According to Cenk, “BeLazy helped to decrease the project manager’s overhead dramatically. They no longer need to handle these micro-tasks manually every day.”
Building on this success, El Turco is now finalizing its proprietary BMS and plans to leverage the BeLazy BMS API for direct system-to-system integration with external vendor portals—further expanding automation and reducing operational friction across its supply chain.
