Source connector improvements

26 Dec 2024

XTM: Various improvements

Probably the biggest improvement is that we managed to crack the code for linguist assignment from the BMS into XTM, which puts our XTM connector fully on par in functionality with our most sophisticated connectors. We also enabled the user to select if they want to see only their projects or all projects in the system, and you can also select if you want to download XLIFF or work online, and if the XLIFF update you deliver should update the translation memory.

Worldserver: Updating the translation memory

Similarly to XTM, we can now also update the translation memory after XLIFF import in the case of Worldserver.

Across: Speedup and workflow improvements

Large Across deployments used to time out when synchronizing, thus we had to look for ways to speed up project information download. If you have a project not assigned to a project manager now, BeLazy won’t download it. Also, we are now extracting the possible workflow steps and the workflow name of all projects, thus tidying up the chaos coming from the fact that each workflow can have differently named tasks.

memoQ: Linguist monitoring, job deadline extraction, handling slicing

As we have more and more customers relying on the use case where the TMS is the source of vendor assignment and delivery, and projects are prepared before they get into the BMS, instead of using the BMS-CAT integrations, we are gearing up our connectors with functionality. The memoQ connector now monitors linguists, job deadlines, and because we have the initial vendor assignment as the basis for bundling, it is possible to create as many tasks or items in the BMS as the number of bundles, and handle them separately. We also improved how we handle the situations where the weights are not coming from memoQ’s weighted word counts feature but rather from the business management system.

Lokalise: Linguist monitoring

We are now able to look at the assigned user in Lokalise, and transfer that assignment to your business management system.

Plunet vendor portal: Extracted ZIP, improved time zone handling and contact person handling

When downloading files from Plunet, we used to extract a ZIP file. Now we unzip it on the server, so you can filter out the PO file before uploading it to your business management system and sharing it with your vendors. We also improved time zone handling, time zones are now extracted from the user profile if they are not available in the job, and also improved how contact persons are recognized and matched – not a problem anymore if the customer only fills out last name. We also improved how we download files from Plunet vendor portals.

XTRF vendor portal: Download purchase order, filter out pending projects

Purchase order files can now be downloaded, and the user can decide whether to include or exclude pending jobs from listing (rather than Started / In progress jobs).

Lionbridge TMS and LCX: New authentication

Lionbridge changed their TMS authentication and made some minor changes to LCX, so we had to immediately jump on this and fix the issue to ensure business continuity for our users.

Phrase, Symfonie, Crowdin: Smaller improvements

We made the purchase order number field coming from Phrase TMS optional to fill, and delegated it in the realm of the instruction mapping. In Symfonie, we check if the price changed after acceptance, to get the final price you receive from RWS. In Crowdin you are now able to assign users to tasks even from BeLazy’s interface.
